Harwil SDC-101 Shut Down Controller
No flow, no power.
The Harwil SDC-101 installs in the input power line of pumps, heaters and valves that are flow critical, and interrupts power automatically on loss of flow. Power stays off until the problem is corrected and proper flow is re-established.
| Purpose | Shut down control on loss of flow |
|---|---|
| Installed In | Input power line of pumps, heaters, valves |
| On Flow Loss | Interrupts power automatically |
| Restart | Power remains off until proper flow is re-established |
| Start Up | Failure to establish programmed flow after pump turn on |
|---|---|
| Running | Loss of flow from line clogging, line rupture or incorrect valve position |
| Priming | Addresses loss of pump prime, where a flow switch alone cannot start the pump |
- Flow critical pumps
- Flow critical heaters
- Flow critical valves
Why not just use a flow switch on the pump output?
A flow switch alone creates a catch 22 at start up, because there is no flow yet to close the switch and energize the pump. The SDC-101 is designed to handle that start up case.
